Anupama update Monday 16 June 2025

The episode begins with Anupama spotting Prarthana at a café. She greets her warmly and asks how she is doing. Prarthana replies that she’s fine. Anupama explains that she came for a client presentation and decided to say hello when she saw her. She asks if Prarthana is alone. Prarthana says yes—she wanted to have coffee, but no one was free to accompany her, so she came by herself. Anupama responds that there’s no need to wait for others and shares that she often went alone to tea stalls or even to the movies.

Prarthana says it was nice meeting her but she has to leave. Before she goes, Anupama offers her a homemade jaggery toffee, made by Prem, her future son-in-law. Prarthana is surprised and asks if that means he’s marrying her daughter. Anupama confirms that Prem is going to marry Mahi. Prarthana congratulates her and the children and leaves. Anupama notices Prarthana’s full name on the bill—Prarthana Kothari.

Meanwhile, Rahi tries to make amends with Mahi, asking if she’s still upset. Mahi says she is, but not with Prem. Rahi apologizes and offers to show her some outfit designs. Mahi expresses her excitement about getting Prem’s name written in her mehendi. Elsewhere, Anupama checks on the wedding preparations, asking Ansh about the florist and reminding Toshu to bring clothes for the priest. Baa remarks that Anupama is acting as if Mahi is her own daughter. Anupama firmly replies that Mahi is her daughter. Rahi agrees, saying Mahi filled the gap in Anupama’s life when she wasn’t around.

Pakhi assigns Rahi the task of decorating the engagement board. While Rahi works on it, Prem watches and tells her that giving away something so special isn’t a sign of strength—it’s foolishness. Rahi denies having feelings and continues her work. Prem later tells Anupama he wants to help with the preparations, but she encourages him to rest. He insists on contributing and mentions he’ll work at Anu Ki Rasoi too. When Anupama brings up engagement rings, Prem suggests she go shopping with Rahi.

Suddenly, Deepa tells Anupama that someone has arrived. It’s Prarthana. She says she didn’t get the chance to talk earlier and came to see Anupama’s restaurant. Hearing about the engagement, Prarthana congratulates Prem. Anupama invites her to the function. As Anupama steps away to take a call, Prarthana privately asks Prem why he’s going through with the engagement and urges him to come with her. He refuses. Just then, Rahi walks in and sees them talking. Prarthana asks if Rahi is the one Prem is engaged to, but Prem quickly changes the subject and leaves to deliver an order. Rahi asks who she was, and Prem explains she’s someone Anupama once helped. Anupama later confirms her full name as Prarthana Kothari, which surprises Prem.

Later, Rahi applies mehendi on Mahi’s hands. Mahi proudly notes that Prem’s name is included. Just then, Prem slips and accidentally causes Mahi’s mehendi to smear onto Rahi’s hand. Mahi goes to wash it off. Prem takes this chance to show Rahi his name in her mehendi and insists there’s still time to stop the engagement.

Pari tells Prem to speak up and fight for his love. Prem says he can’t—Rahi has chosen Mahi’s happiness over her own. Pari questions when his happiness will matter. Meanwhile, Rahi tries to scrub the mehendi off, but it only gets darker. Mahi notices hers is fading and gets upset. Anupama advises her to focus on joy and not small mishaps. Mahi says she’ll stay happy with Prem and shows Anupama the ring she’s selected.

Prem meets Rahi again and tells her she can’t erase him from her heart. Rahi asks him to concentrate on his engagement. He says things will change after tomorrow. She insists everything will end. He says he can’t fake joy like she does and that if she agrees, he’ll talk to Mahi and explain. Rahi tells him she’ll be the first to congratulate them once they get engaged. Prem is heartbroken.

Later, Prem receives a call from his father. When asked about the engagement, Prem confirms it but tells him to stay away. At the same time, Anupama becomes suspicious and decides to look up Prarthana Kothari online. She finds many people by that name but finally identifies her in a photo. Just as the photo is about to load, her laptop shuts off. Ishu arrives asking for Baa’s oil and for her dress to be altered, distracting Anupama from seeing the image.

The next morning, Rahi dreams that Prem surprises her with a ring and she hugs him. She wakes up startled and scolds herself for dreaming about a man who’s marrying her sister. She warns herself to regain control before it’s too late.

Meanwhile, Janki Behen meets Prem and gives him a sacred supari from a prayer, asking him to keep it with him for peace of mind. She encourages him to take time to reflect. He quietly walks away. Janki prays for the right decision to be made. Anupama joins her and thanks her for always praying for them. Janki warns her to pay attention to what the children are hiding, and says she has something important to take care of before the engagement.
