Saras and Kumud update Monday 17 February 2025

Saras and Kumud: The episode begins with Kusum checking on Kumud and advising her to rest, but Kumud insists she is fine and asks for help. Meanwhile, Kalika sneaks into the kitchen with a bottle of wine but is interrupted by Murakh Das, who assigns her a task. She quickly hides the bottle, planning to give it to Pramad. Saras enters, handing her sweets for the offering, and then leaves.

Later, Kusum gets ready when Saras visits her. He asks if she is still upset with him, but she reassures him about Kumud’s well-being. Saras expresses his concern for Kumud, stating that until she is with Pramad, she remains his responsibility. Kusum returns the kamarbandh to Saras, but he refuses, saying it rightfully belongs to Kumud. As Saras leaves, Pramad notices him coming from Kusum’s room.

The puja begins, and Pramad’s mother fondly recalls taking care of him in his childhood. Pramad appears, surprising everyone, and his father, Budhidhan, expresses his happiness. Kusum announces a game following the puja. Meanwhile, Kalika plots her own scheme.

Pramad, feeling thirsty, sneaks into the kitchen to drink wine but finds the bottle filled with buttermilk instead. He discovers a note from Kumud, indicating she had switched it. Furious, he throws the bottle. His mother finds him and takes him back to the game, where he participates and eventually wins. Saras, watching Kumud and Pramad together, is hopeful for their bond.

Kalika, however, is determined to expose Kumud and Saras’ connection. She sneaks into Saras’ room and finds Kumud’s missing earring, confirming her suspicions. Meanwhile, Saras and Kusum locate the hidden wine bottle and move it to a safer place.

As the night progresses, Pramad, unaware of Saras’ intervention, finds another bottle of wine and drinks it. He taunts Kumud, but she reminds him that he unknowingly kept her trust by not drinking the previous night. However, Pramad angrily declares that he will break her trust.

Kalika takes the evidence she found—Kumud’s earring and poetry—and shows it to Pramad, fueling his doubts. Enraged, Pramad decides to publicly humiliate Kumud. He drags her to the hall, gathers the family, and exposes Saras’ box of Kumud’s keepsakes. Saras and Kumud are left speechless, while Kusum finally speaks up, declaring that they will not remain silent anymore.
