The episode begins with Sayali smiling as she sees Sachin. She teases him, saying that his public declaration might bring bad luck. Sachin suggests they go to the temple to ward off any bad luck and urges her to enjoy the chicken he got for her. She eats it and enjoys the taste. He encourages her to eat more, but she insists he eat too. Sachin replies that he bought it for her because he saw she was upset the night before. Sayali is curious and asks how he knew. He says he noticed her working late in the kitchen after everyone else had gone to sleep, looking exhausted.

Sayali asks how he knew she was sad, and he tells her that she cried without telling him. She denies it, saying she spoke to him and fell asleep, but he reassures her, saying that he knows her well enough. He adds that Paresh never noticed her sorrow, being too busy with his medication and sleep. Sachin tells her he thought getting her tandoori chicken would cheer her up, making her smile by mimicking the typical melodramatic heroine. They both laugh and continue eating the chicken together.

Later that night, Sayali makes a rangoli. Sachin remarks on her early start, and she explains that she was running late. A man, a Baba, arrives and blesses them, predicting that good times are ahead. Sayali is amused, thinking he is just another fortune teller. The Baba tells them that Sayali will soon be independent again and will get wings to fly. Sayali wonders about this and asks if she will finally achieve her independence. The Baba assures her that she will. He goes on to say that Sachin is the king, and Sayali, his queen. He suggests that by looking at his wife’s face before leaving for work, Sachin will succeed. Sachin takes the Baba’s words to heart and hands him some money.

Before leaving, the Baba warns Sachin about controlling his anger, as it could ruin his work. Sayali laughs at his words, but Sachin brushes it off, saying he’s late for work. As he leaves, she smiles, reminding him to keep his temper in check.

Sayali receives a call from Aaji, who says she feels old and forgotten. Sayali reassures her that she often thinks about calling but is busy with work. Aaji tells her she has found a potential bride for Akash, a well-educated girl working in Mumbai, and plans to visit soon. Sayali is surprised and thinks about what to do. Paresh hadn’t mentioned anything about Akash and Riya’s situation, so she tells Aaji that they should wait before making any decisions. Aaji presses for details, asking why Sayali is delaying things. Sayali eventually reveals that Akash has already gotten married, leaving Aaji shocked and upset.

Aaji demands to know why no one had told her about this, and Sayali explains that Paresh didn’t want her to know. Aaji becomes angry, wanting to speak with Paresh. Sayali tries to calm her down, explaining that Paresh is recovering and is not in a state to handle such confrontations. Aaji insists on knowing everything, and Sayali finally tells her the whole story.

Aaji is stunned by the news, feeling hurt that no one told her about the situation. Sayali apologizes, but Aaji is furious, particularly at Renu, who she feels has disrespected Paresh. As Aaji arrives at Renu’s place the next morning, she scolds her, demanding to know why Renu kept her in the dark about Paresh’s illness. Renu tries to defend herself, but Aaji accuses her of not respecting her husband and contributing to his health issues. Renu tries to deny it, but Aaji’s anger is evident. Sayali watches the confrontation unfold in silence.
